Jennifer Seip, MA Individual, Couples & Sex Therapy

Does therapy work?

This is a tough question! Therapy’s effectiveness depends on a number of factors. While coming to therapy is important, a lot of change happens during the rest of the week when you are not in my office. An important factor is that you and I are the right fit. If you feel comfortable with me and are open to the process then yes, it does work!

How many sessions will I need?

Every person and every concern is different. Once we’ve gotten a chance to meet, we can create a plan that will best suit your needs.

How long is each session?

Each session is 50 minutes. However, longer sessions are also available.

I want to work on my relationship. Should I do Individual or Couple’s Therapy?

It depends. Typically, I like to meet with the couple and determine how often they should come in as individuals. There is no one size fits all.

What is sex therapy?

Sex Therapy is for individuals and couples looking to develop meaningful and pleasurable sexual relationships as well as overcome any fears or anxieties. It does not involve any physical touch, it is simply talk therapy.

Is sex therapy only for couples or can I come as an individual?

Sex Therapy is for both individuals and couples.

What is your training?

I received my Master’s Degree from The College of New Jersey in Marriage, Family, and Couple’s Counseling and Therapy. During which, I trained at The Philadelphia Institute for Individual, Relational, & Sex Therapy in Philadelphia. I also received extensive training in Sex Therapy as a post-graduate from Council for Relationships in Philadelphia, PA.
